Update on Korinne

I also left this blog off with my Korinne being gravely ill.

There's news there. Some bad, mostly good. Korinne is now 3 and a half, and from November 2008- Novemeber 2009, we were seizure free...well almost. 10 days short of her one year seizure free anniversary, she relpased and was in the hospital two days.

Then shortly after that, she had pneumonia, and another relapase, and then went another 8 months seizure free. Last week, however, was another set back. But that's okay. She was in and out in less than 24 hours and is now back to her ornery ol'self.

I love my daughter dearly but she is not an easy child at all. We're now totally potty trained, which is great, but her other cognitive skills lack greatly and she is very prone to meltdowns at the worst times ever and simply put, doesn't listen. Sadly, her comprehsion skills are about that of an 18 month old.

BUT...she is alive. She's spared.
